Health & Safety

At Dysin, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Our work spans high risk industrial environments including power stations, energy from waste facilities and confined spaces. We follow strict procedures, maintain industry recognised accreditations and ensure our team is trained, competent and equipped to work safely at all times.

Our Safety Commitment

Dysin Ltd follows a strict safety first approach across all access and scaffolding operations. Our “Work Safe, Home Safe” culture promotes clear communication, hazard awareness and consistent adherence to procedures. Ongoing training, monitoring and equipment compliance ensure every job is delivered with the highest standards of safety.

Risk assessments and method statements

Every task is supported by detailed RAMS to identify hazards and ensure all work is carried out safely and correctly.

Site Inductions

All personnel receive a full site induction before starting work to ensure they understand local hazards and procedures.

Toolbox Talks

Regular toolbox talks and behavioural safety sessions support ongoing awareness and promote safe decision making.

Incident and Near Miss Reporting

All incidents, hazards and near misses are reported and reviewed so improvements can be made continuously.

Auditing and Monitoring

Our health and safety partner provides routine audits, performance monitoring and ongoing advisory support.

Scaffold Compliance

All scaffold structures are installed and monitored in line with industry requirements to ensure they remain safe and fit for use.

PPE and RPE Compliance

We ensure all personnel are equipped with the correct PPE and RPE for the task. Equipment is checked, maintained and used in line with industry standards to protect workers in high risk environments.

Emergency Response

We provide twenty four hour support with a two hour response target for urgent works. Our teams mobilise quickly to maintain safe operations during unplanned situations.

Essential Safety Measures

Safety is built into every stage of our work. From fall protection and respiratory systems to confined space procedures and controlled access planning, we apply robust controls to keep every site safe and compliant.

Fall Arrest Equipment

Dysin Ltd uses high quality fall arrest equipment to ensure safe working at height. Our harnesses, lanyards and arrest systems provide essential protection when working on elevated structures. All equipment is inspected regularly and maintained in line with manufacturer guidance and safety standards.

Our team is trained to use fall arrest systems correctly, ensuring safe anchorage, suitable connection and full compliance at all times.

Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)

Much of our work takes place in environments containing dust, fumes or airborne particulates. To safeguard our workforce, Dysin Ltd uses:

  • 3M Aura 9332 plus disposable masks
  • 3M Versaflo powered air respirator systems

These systems protect against airborne hazards and are essential for confined space entry and high risk maintenance tasks. All RPE is tested, fitted and replaced according to industry requirements.

Confined Space Safety

Confined space work requires careful planning and controlled entry. Before any work begins, the area is assessed for hazards such as low oxygen, heat or restricted access. Ventilation, communication and rescue arrangements are put in place, and only trained personnel with the correct PPE and RPE are permitted to enter.

Dysin Ltd can also provide confined space rescue cover for high risk work when required.

Weekly Scaffold Inspections

All standing scaffolds must be inspected every seven days. We complete full inspections of every structure, update scaffold tags and maintain a scaffold register for site records.

Inspections are carried out by trained and competent scaffold inspectors, ensuring continued compliance and safe access throughout each project.

Safety Statistics

Our safety record reflects our commitment to maintaining a safe working environment across all projects.
